    The challenge

Ecommerce accounting is a specialist service with a broad technical vocabulary: marketplace payouts, payment fees, VAT, cost of goods sold and month-end reconciliation. The website needed to make that expertise understandable to sellers without flattening the detail that makes the service valuable.

The information architecture also needed to serve different kinds of search intent. A Shopify seller, an Amazon marketplace business and a founder looking for outsourced Xero bookkeeping may need the same underlying expertise, but they begin with different questions and expect different proof.

Trust, performance and measurement were essential. The site needed to feel credible enough for a financial service, load quickly across a growing content library and provide useful analytics without ignoring consent and privacy requirements.

    The approach

    Search-intent architecture

The site was structured around distinct service, platform and resource journeys, giving each commercial topic a clear home while maintaining strong internal links between education and enquiry pages.

    Platform-specific journeys

Dedicated content for Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, eBay, Etsy and multi-channel sellers explains how payout reconciliation, VAT and Xero workflows change by platform.

    Interactive resources

A landed-cost calculator and payout-reconciliation checker turn complex accounting questions into useful tools, giving sellers practical value before they are ready to enquire.

    Fast, measurable frontend

Next.js, React, TypeScript and a reusable component system support fast pages and consistent publishing, with structured data and consent-aware GA4 measurement built into the platform.

    The results

The finished platform gives Ecom Accounts Pro a focused acquisition site for UK ecommerce sellers, aligning its accounting services, marketplace expertise, educational resources and contact journeys around the questions prospects actually ask.

A reusable Next.js content system makes it possible to expand the search footprint without creating a collection of disconnected landing-page templates. Platform pages can answer specific integration and reconciliation questions while passing qualified visitors into the appropriate service journey.

The calculators and guides add genuine utility to the site, while contextual calls to action connect that education to a fixed-price or discovery enquiry. No unverified ranking, lead or revenue claims have been added to this case study.

    What did not go perfectly

The launch creates the technical and content foundations for organic acquisition, but rankings and qualified lead volume still depend on ongoing search validation, useful publishing, internal-link refinement and authority building.
